School Supplies Donated in West Virginia
Thanks to continued ongoing support from our generous donors, Bakhita Kids was able to donate school supplies to a middle school in in Marion County, West Virginia, which is often overlooked. They received 74 book bags, pencils, notebooks, binders, and calculators. School starts September 8th. One of the volunteers was so thrilled to have pencils for the students, that she carried them around with her the entire time the donations were being unloaded. The executive director of the Marion County Family Resource Network, said of the donated supplies, “This school is the last stop for many children that are having problems in middle school. Those kids are at risk for dropping out of school and every bit of those supplies were needed.” Thank you to our donors who continue to help us fill the gap in West Virginia!
